LifeKeepers is a new, national suicide prevention on-line training programme, aimed at giving people the skills to recognise and support those at risk of suicide.
Developed by Le Va and funded by the Ministry of Health, the free, online programme equips people to:
- talk responsibly about suicide
- know what to look for when someone may be at risk of suicide
- ask about suicide, and respond with confidence
- connect with the right supports in their community
It's like first aid training - giving people the skills to recognise and support those at risk of suicide.
LifeKeepers combines an internationally proven, evidence-based approach with local knowledge and experience, to provide a programme that is community focused, clinically safe and culturally responsive.
Go to the LifeKeepers webpage and sign up to register an account. Once your registration is approved you will be able to work through the e-modules.
