Pink Shirt Day - stand up against bullying

+ Add to my Calendar

Stand up against bullying this Pink Shirt Day.

Pink Shirt Day aims to create workplaces, schools and communities where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability or cultural background.

To "Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying" in your workplace, register to take part in Pink Shirt Day, and be the first to know when new resources are launched.

Also, download the new Pink Shirt Day Māori resources and keep an eye out for the Pasifika resources coming soon.

The Mental Health Foundation has produced a range of resources to help prevent workplace bullying, as well as a Positive Communication at Work resource to support leaders, managers and their teams build a culture of positive communication together.

Basically, that's the way to prevent bullying - by creating a workplace culture where open communication is the norm so bullying can't thrive.

Research shows New Zealand has high rates of workplace bullying, affecting one in five of us. Each year, more and more workplaces get involved in Pink Shirt Day, seeing it as a great opportunity to celebrate diversity, raise awareness and understanding of bullying and take action to prevent it – all while having a heap of Pink Shirt Day fun.
