Encourage your people to have their blood pressure checked during the Stroke Foundation's Big Blood Pressure Check event.
Aimed at keeping thousands of New Zealanders safe from stroke, on the first Saturday every October the Stroke Foundation sets up testing stations at New World and Pak 'n Save supermarkets and various other sites around the country.
The free blood pressure test only takes a minute but could save a life. High blood pressure is a leading cause of stroke but many of us don't know we have it.
Scroll down the Big Blood Pressure Check page to find where the testing sites are in your region, and encourage your people to go.
